Margaret "Peggy" Ann Glaeser, 89 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully on July 2, 2019 at her daughter's home in Columbiaville surrounded by family. She was born on October 29, 1929 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late, Gerald and Margaret (Hollister) Kane. She married her husband, Ralph Glaeser on May 5, 1951 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Highland Park and together the couple celebrated 52 years of marriage before Ralph's passing in April of 2004. Formerly of Roseville, the couple resided in Lewiston for 20+ years. Peggy was a very active member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston and Holy Innocents in Roseville. She loved gardening, planting, and her flowers. She was crafty in making small knick-knacks and always ensured when the grandchildren came to visit that there was a craft or an activity for them to do as well. Family was important to Peggy and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Rusty (Nancy) Glaeser of Sterling Heights; daughters, Chris (Tom) Brighton of Warren; Shelly (Garry) Traub of Macomb Township; Geri (Phil) Ayan of Lapeer; son-in-law, Dwayne LaBakas of Sterling Heights; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim (Terri) Kane of Brighton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Margaret Kane; husband, Ralph; and daughter, Terri LaBakas.
