RITES THIS MORNING
RIVERSIDE, July 29--Funeral rites will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Simon's Funeral home for Guido Pete Deiro, internationally known accordion virtuoso who had lived in Elsinore for the past year.
Deiro, 63, died yesterday at Loma Linda Hospital.
Born in Italy, Deiro was a pioneer in the concert accordion field. He was one of the first accordion masters to record in the United States and toured concert halls throughout the world. A veteran of World War I, Deiro had been an American citizen for many years.
He leaves a son, Guido Deiro, Jr. of Las Vegas, and a brother, Peitro Deiro of New York, also an accordionist.
Interment will be at Olivewood Cemetery.
