Dewana “Dee” Norris Bivens, daughter of the late Silas and Vera (Slayter) Norris, was born September 11, 1942 in Grant Parish, Louisiana. Dee attended school, and graduated in Louisiana.
On December 13, 1990, Dee was united in marriage to Kenneth Allen Bivens. They shared over 23 years of marriage together.
Dee enjoyed providing for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Dee was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Richland and will be remembered for her gentle hugs and loving smile.
Dee left her earthly home to be with her Lord and Savior on the afternoon of Friday, June 20, 2014 at her home in Richland, having attained the age of 71 years. Though she will be sadly missed, Dee will be fondly remembered by all those that knew and loved her.
Dee is survived by her husband: Kenneth Bivens of the home; one son: Edward Green (Darlene) of Russellville, MO; one daughter: Sheila Trichel (Joe) of Pollock, LA; one step-son Kenny Bivens (Angela) of Houston, TX; two step-daughters: Kris Harris of Pineville, LA. and Debbie Melbert (Bert) of St. Louis, MO; two sisters in-laws Sue and Ann; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dee was preceded in death by one brother, Walton Norris and her son, Brian Keith.
