Lorene came from a small town. The family moved often because of her Fathers chosen occupation (Telephone business).

She early in life became a jack of all trades, Sometimes being a lunch runner for her father and the other linemen working in the field. Other times working as an telephone operator in the small towns to relieve her mother not to mention taking care of her younger brothers and helping with taking care of her deceased sister Lula's children.

Lorene had to learn to make friends, so she became a people person. She enjoyed the many different folks she came across. This upbringing fired her imagination of far away and distant places. For some time she became a world traveler, at the breakout of WWII she left the Pacific and return home to settle in CA.

Aunt Lorene owned a Top end women's clothing store in CA that she ran for many years. She enjoyed style and always dressed to the nines. She was a caring person and helped people when she could.

Thank you to everyone that visits this memorial.
