Eldest of the three sons of William Wolfe and Angelina (Brandon) Alexander, Brandon was born about 1836.

A Barrister, and was admitted to the Middle Temple in 1858.

In 1888, he wed Nina Mosley Hazell, and settled with her in West Sussex. They are not known to have had any surviving children.
