Roxie Grandstaff Palmer, age 80, a resident of Clear Brook, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service for Mrs. Palmer will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Benjamin Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

She was born in Woodstock Virginia on January 27, 1934, a daughter of the late James B. and Mildred Cook Grandstaff.

Mrs. Grandstaff, along with her late husband Charles Franklin Palmer, were the pastors of Living Word Ministries.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi A Palmer; and siblings, Odell Grandstaff, Charles Grandstaff, and Joyce Peer Wilkins.

Survivors include her son, Gregory A. Palmer of Strasburg, VA; grandson, Jessee Palmer, and a sister, Dorothy Pence of Strasburg, VA

Pallbearers will be Kenny Showalter, Jaggar Albert, Brandon Dodson, Eddie Funk, Wesley Dick, and Carl Setzer.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon from 4-6 PM.

Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Palmer to Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA 22657.

Stover Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Strasburg, VA is serving the family of Mrs. Palmer.
