Camille first married Sophie Neymarck, at Châlons-sur-Marne (now called Châlons-en-Champagne) on 28 April 1861, and with her had two known sons: Jonas Fernand and Daniel Lucien.
He appears on the 1881 England census on Alexander Road in Wimbledon as a widower with both of his sons. He married, secondly, Susannah Caroline Burchett later that same year.
He was still living in Alexander Road, Wimbledon by May 5, 1882 at which time he became a naturalised British subject.
By the time of his death, he had removed to Sydenham; his second wife Susannah survived him.
