Frank Wirkes passed away on July 22nd. A Colorado Springs native, Frank graduated from Palmer High School in 1977. He married his wife of 28 years, Susann in 1986.

Frank worked for King Soopers for 32 years before retiring and working at Costco. Frank was passionate about helping great causes such as the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, and the MS Society.

An avid outdoorsman Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking photos of the Colorado landscape. Frank was also an excellent cook who enjoyed sharing his creations with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife Susann, daughter Samantha, brother John and stepfather Stan.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hillside Gardens Nursery located at 1006 S. Institute Street on Tuesday July 29th at 4:30pm.
