SGT. U.S. ARMY 1949-1952, KOREAN CONFLICT
Legendary Lehigh Valley High School Basketball Coach. Bill was the son of Anthony and Madeline (Kozauer)Paulik and the husband of JoAnne (Rapp) Paulik. They were married 55 years and had 4 children. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1956 and received his Master's Degree from Lehigh University in 1961. He taught in the Susquenita and Fountain Hill School Districts from 1957 to 1962 and moved on to the Salisbury Township School District in 1963 when the new high school opened. He remained at Salisbury as a teacher, athletic director and head coach of the boys varsity basketball team until retiring in 1993. In his 30 year career coaching basketball, his teams compiled a record of 539-241. He coached the school to 4 District XI titles and 3 Lehigh Northampton League titles and 6 Colonial League championships. His teams won 20 or more games 14 times, including a perfect 23-0 regular season record in his final season. For many years he also served as the Salisbury Township Recreational Director and worked for many years as the summer instructor at the Salisbury High School playground. In February, 2011 a ceremony was held in which the basketball court at Salisbury High School was named "Paulik Court" in his honor. Bill Paulik enriched the lives of all who knew him, especially his wife, children and grandchildren, plus the many athletes who were fortunate to play for him as part of the Salisbury High School basketball family.
