A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, she passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at her home with her family and friends present. She was 85 and a lifelong resident of Colyell. Her memory will be cherished deeply, her legacy everlasting and the love she showed for her family and friends immeasurably missed, but will live on through each of them. Visitation at Colyell Baptist Church, Colyell, on Wednesday, Aug. 25, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Delmas Taylor, the Rev. Wayne Mack and the Rev. Bill Holifield. Interment in Colyell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donavon Andrews, Brandon Andrews, Daniel Harrell, Jamie Andrews, Cody Mack, Derek Smith, Mike Plauche and Larry Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffery Andrews and Ricky Andrews. Survived by four sons, Alfred Andrews and wife Gracie, of Satsuma, Roger "Bo" Andrews Sr. and wife Vivian, Jerome "Jerry" Andrews and wife Audrey, and Bobby Andrews, all of Colyell; four daughters, Janice Crochet and husband Gerald, Dwana Thornton and husband Chris, Malinda "Peanut" Thornton and husband Willie, and Susan Andrews, all of Colyell; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, six brothers and four sisters. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, William "W.D." Andrews; infant son, William D. Andrews Jr.; daughters-in-law, Carol Ann Sanders Andrews and Patsy Sanders Andrews; parents, Elais Edwards and Mary Williford Edwards Fletcher; two brothers and two sisters.
