Obituary
The sudden death occurred of Alfred L Troop here early Monday afternoon, following a heart attack. Mr Troop was one of 2 children of Alfred Troop, Sr., and Lovica E Marshall Troop. He was born at Granville Ferry, July 18, 1858, and had lived here all his life. In 1886 he married Retta Pickup, a sister of Samuel WW Pickup, who had previously married his (Mr Troop's) sister, Lilly LE Troop. There were no children. During his lifetime Mr Troop was interested in several business activities in the community, but his chief interest was the farm he had inherited from his father. In February, 1927 his wife died very suddenly and since that time Mr Troop has been making his home with Mrs William Amberman. The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon from the United Church, Reverend GT Whitman, Reverend Robert B Anderson and Reverend TE MacLennan officiating. Interment will be in Granville Beach cemetery.

NOTE: According to his death certificate he died at F. C. Wood's General Store, Granville Ferry.
