Surviving are a son, Shamar Adams, a daughter, Shenterra Adams, his grandmother, Lonnie Mayon, two brothers, Edward Willis and David McClendon, two sisters, Laneta (and Mark) Bean, and Michele McClendon, two aunts who cared for him, Elnora Ward and Cheryl Mayon, two uncles and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Galesburg High School and attended Monmouth College.
He worked at Butler Manufacturing, Farmland Foods in Monmouth and Hi-Lo Grocery.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing and helping the elderly.
He is sadly missed.
