Warren B Goreham
1888-1929
Warren Bard Goreham was born 1888 in Nebraska to Myron and Mary (Boeckenhaur) Goreham. His name comes from his grandfather on his paternal side. The middle name Bard comes from his great grandmother's maiden name. ( Mariah Bard).
November 15, 1909 he married Nora M. Hahn in Lewis County, Washington. Nora's parents ( Edward & Katherine Hahn) were there to sign as witnesses.
While living in Washington the next year in 1910, they had their first child, a son Harold Emmet. They moved to Los Angeles California where Harold spent time in the hospital. Harolds last day was March 5, 1911 when he passed away.
Warren and Nora left Los Angeles but stayed in California moving to Tulare County. They had a total of seven children:
Harold Emmett b. 1910-1911
Mildred Lillian b. 1912-1985
Vernon W b. 1917-1944
Lucile Myrtle b.1922-2013
Warren Bard Jr. b.1924-1972
Eulah May b.1927-2015
Katherine Nora b.1929-2013

Warren never saw his last child, a daughter born in April 1929. Nor the following year when his oldest daughter Mildred would marry. Nor his son Vernon that would go to war and not return. It was January 7, 1929 when he passed away from a burst appendix. At the time of his death he was a ditch tender for the water district. He was a member of the Woodsman of the World.
This very day his paternal grandmother Lucinda Goreham, that was living in Nebraska also died.
His wife Nora was dedicated to raising the children on her own, not to remarry.
