Darlow Dale Esau, 90, died Monday, July 7, 2014. He was born March 10, 1924, at Inman, the son of David and Caroline Elizabeth "Carrie" Knackstedt Esau.
He was a 1943 graduate of Inman High School, a member of Eastwood Church of Christ, a farmer and had worked for Consolidated Manufacturing, retiring in 1989. On Oct. 20, 1962, he married Marjorie Imogene Mills in Hutchinson. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa Shuff and husband Bob of Hutchinson; a sister, Marlene Neufeld of Inman; two grandchildren, Rhylie Shuff and Jared Shuff; and a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at North Inman Cemetery with Jimie Wray-Mead presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial gifts may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
