Betty Jean Losh, 88, went to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 8, 2014 in Meridian, Idaho. Betty Jean was born March 14, 1926 to Frank and Myrtle Smith in Topeka, Kansas. Betty was the oldest of nine children. Betty found God October 27, 1929 when her mother enrolled her in Sunday school, and by thirteen years of age Betty had made the decision to devote her life to serving God.

Betty married Carl Losh September 5, 1944 and moved to California. Betty and Carl had five children; Terry, Gary (still born), Michael, Denise, and Rebecca. The family moved throughout Oregon thirteen times in one year. Betty would rent a home and tell the landlord the house would sell, and it always did. In 1968 the family moved to Idaho where Carl and Betty spent the remainder of their lives together.

Betty worked all kinds of jobs from babysitting to cleaning houses. Betty's favorite job was working in the school cafeterias as a "lunch lady" from 1980-1985. She also enjoyed being a camp cook at Pine Acres for MGT Legacy Church camp. Betty later worked for Kmart in Boise and retired in 1993.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, baby boy, three brothers, and one sister. Betty is survived by her 4 children, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Betty was such a wonderful person. A loving mother, grandmother and friend. She lifted people up with her huge smile, hugs, and acceptance. Betty will be remembered with love.
