She grew up on her family farm in Callao, Virginia.
Eulean was the daughter of the late Clinton and Nettie Winstead Newsome.
One of seven children, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Iris, Marjorie, Maxine, Nettie Mae, and Marilyn.
Eulean was the widow of J.L. Blanton, Jr. and was married on August 1, 1948, and has been an active member in Trinity United Methodist Church since that time.
She and her late husband were the owners of Blanton Apartments.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Bradshaw (Thomas) of King William, a grandson, Richard Bradshaw (Erica), and a great-grandson Xander of Tappahannock. A son, J.L. Blanton, III. (Downi) a grandson Garrett Blanton, Friend (Elizabeth), and grand-daughter Anne Lewis Blanton all of Tappahannock. A sister Geri Dodson (Earl) of Lottsburg and numerous loving and kind nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2017, at one o'clock, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Interment church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until the service time Monday at the church.
