Born and raised in Virginia.
A Great Loving Husband, Father, Friend and Protector he was. A True Devoted Caring Family Man. Loved By Everyone. He was Very Smart,
He served his country in the military, Sailing, And as PSNS a sheriff in his small town of Bremerton.
He Married The love of his life, Elizabeth Johanna, On Christmas Day December 25th in the year of 1935.
They began their married life in San Diego, CA.
About two years later they had their first child.
A daughter, Nora was born. When they returned to Washington state and settled in Bremerton, About six years later their second daughter, Linda was born. His girls called him "Papa", Being that great loving family man that he was. He led a path of honor. He and his wife were a happy couple that were great role models for their girls who loved each other and their children dearly. How he met his beautiful beloved wife was when He was a sailor. Serving for the military one day as he and his fellow sailors were un-boarding the ships after months at sea. They were greeted by many young ladies who would get together all their girlfriends to go down to the docks to greet the sailors as the ships come in. One beauty that was fairer than them all caught Walcie's eye as she greeted him.
This was his Miss Elizabeth Johanna Doornenbal. (That he married.)
She was the Daughter of 10am John and Albertha Doornenbal, Of Lynden WA.
After the day they met, They were inseparable.and it wasn't long after they met that they were married, On That Christmas Day In 1935.
They raised two beautiful girls together, Nora and Linda. At the time of Papa's death he was survived by his wife Betty "Elizabeth" Brooks, his daughters Nora and Linda, and grandchildren.
