Alleged U.S. serial killer. The crimes he committed together with Charles Ng came to light when Lake committed suicide by taking a cyanide pill shortly after being arrested for a firearms offense. He is thought to have been responsible for the murders of 25 people. He and Ng spent months building an underground bunker in which to keep ' sex slaves'. After his death the police searched the property and found remains of several victims as well as tapes that he had recorded of their torture and demise. It was one of the biggest cases in the US to date. According to newspaper reports, he was cremated and his remains disposed of by the authorities as no one wanted to lay claim to the remains.
