Donna June Risch Knight, 68, of Grove City, formerly of Volant, died at 2:18 p.m. Friday following an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Rimersburg, Clarion County, to the Rev. Clarence Sylvester Snyder and Helen Katheryn Mahood Snyder.

She married Gaylord Ellsworth Knight on Jan. 18, 2004. She previously married the late Lawrence Henry Risch on May 21, 1960; he died Nov. 30, 1997.

She was a homemaker and previously worked at Grove City College in the housekeeping department.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Springfield Township, Mercer County. She enjoyed music and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gaylord Knight of Grove City; two sons, Rex Allen Risch and his wife, Kimberly, of Baden, and Curtis Lee Risch of New Castle; a daughter, Gail Renee Adkins and her husband, John, of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Donald Snyder of Hubbard, Ohio, and Gary Snyder and his wife, Cindy, of Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Dolores Shirey and her husband, Lew, of Girrard, Ohio, Patricia Hanna and her husband, John, of Niles, Ohio, Audrey Gill and her husband, Art, of Harrisville, Ginger Ealy and her husband, Don, of Leesburg and Cheri Caldwell and her husband, Dana, of Farrell. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Justin, Richard, and Phillip Risch, Mandy Ritchea, and Kathryn Adkins; and one great-grandson, Brice Ritchea.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, and father, Clarence, who were the former pastors of the Church of God of Prophecy, Leesburg; her first husband, Lawrence Risch; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Risch.

KNIGHT Friends of Donna Knight, who died Friday, May 21, 2010, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home, 1778 Perry Highway, Volant. There also will be visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy, 2396 Leesburg-Grove City Road, Mercer. The Rev. K. Johnny Adkins of Cleveland, Tenn., retired pastor of Church of God of Prophecy, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
