OBITUARY James Ernest Boyd: Coshocton Tribune (Coshocton, OH), 1958, March 12, page 8
James Ernest Boyd, 82, retired farmer, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home on Fresno Route 3 after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1875, in Keene township, a son of Robert and Margaret Hood Boyd, and was married March 26, 1902, to May Leavengood, who survives. He was a member of the Burkhart Lutheran church.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Willard Gonder of the home; one son, Blake Boyd, East Liverpool; one brother, R. L. Boyd, Conesville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Dawson funeral home and burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until time for the services.
