Mr. Tom I. Kinnaird, 66, of Hamburg, who was born February 4, 1937 in Galion, LA, died Thursday, January 22, 2004, at his residence. A resident of the Extra community south of Hamburg for many years, he retired from the Georgia Pacific Forestry Division in 1996 after over forty years of service. He was a member of the Extra United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Circle K hunting club and an avid hunter and fisherman.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lou Chappell Kinnaird, in 1997; his parents, Easter and Mary Reavie Holland Kinnaird; one sister, Bonnie Dean Kinnaird; and two brothers, Charles Edward and Larry L. Kinnaird.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Vaulner Kinnaird; two sons, Calvin Kinnaird of Hamburg and Kenneth Leo Kinnaird of El Dorado; a stepson, Claude Garner of McCrory; seven stepdaughters, Nancy Hyatt of McCrory, Claudia Higginbotham of Oxnard, CA, Sarah Garner Crews of Hunnington, IN, Frances Garner Haverstick and Jeannie Cansler, both of Augusta, Betty Garner Ladd of Bono and Peggy Garner Wilson of Cabot; one brother, R.E. Kinnaird of Hamburg; five sisters, Billie Jean Doles of Bonita, LA, Sarah Cruce, Rachel Summerland, Faye Hunter and Ann Austin, all of Hamburg; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren and ten step-great- grandchildren.
