Mrs. Mango was born April 21, 1929 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Whitacre Ewing and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia and was a poll worker for the Board of Elections for many years. She has also been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the former OSI Auxiliary.
Her husband of 64 years, Patrick R. Mango, died January 3, 2014.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginny (Tom) Kiliany of Leetonia and Christine (Brad) Wilson of Hanoverton; a "honorary" daughter, Dot Confer of Salem; two sons, Patrick A. Mango of Salem and Nicholas W. (Doris) Mango of Leetonia; a sister, Anita Kotis of Fairview Park, OH; a brother, Butch Ewing of Columbiana; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack L. Mango; and a brother, Wayne "Smoke" Ewing.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
