Mr. Green, 88, of Preston, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at home.
He was born and reared in Preston. He joined the Army and served as a medic in World War II. After returning from military service, he worked as a logger and farmer. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Mr. Green was a member of New Covenant Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ethel Green of Preston; daughters, Catherine Page (Warren) of Clinton and Margaret McDonald (Yates) of Preston; son, Bobby Green of Preston; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Maude Green; sons, Willie Green, Harold Green and Paul Green; grandson, Jason Reed; great-grandson, Charlie Cross; and brothers, Mitchell Green and Chalmers Green.
