David Meier (64) was the fourth of eight children born to David D. Meier and Susanna Catherina Wasenmuller. His parents were immigrants from Saratov, Russia.

David attended the Church of God in Herrington, Kansas and after high school, David attended a private Church of God college in Anderson Indiana, known at the time as Anderson College, but now known as Anderson University. There he met his wife, Lillian Elizabeth Aumann, daughter of H. Aumann and C. Johnson.

Together they served tirelessly for 42 years as missionaries in South America, specifically Argentina and then in Brazil from 1935-1967. On his furloughs he would come back to the United States and also to Alberta, Canada, specially to the Church of God churches that were springing up in Alberta, including Camrose, Alberta.

Six Children:
1. Nilea P. Meier b. Billings, MT married W. Youngman

2. Paul David Meier b. Nokomis, IL married Charlene Roberts

3. Timmy Meier born 1937 - 1942

4. Susan L. Meier born: 1939 Santa Rosa, Brazil died: 1957

5. Eunice L. Meier b. in Crespo, Entre Rios, Argentina married L.Tatum

6. Tabitha M. Meier b. in Charata, Chaco Argentina married R. Kurrle

David died of a tumor in the liver and a hepatic coma.
