Jeanne Elizabeth, daughter of Harvey Lee Jackson and Hazel Elwood, was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on February 8, 1928. Her childhood was spent in Beatrice until age twelve when she moved to Southern California with her parents. There she attended school at Emerson Jr. High in Westwood and University High in West Los Angeles.
Jeanne was united in marriage to Franklin Albert Lesher in 1945 and to this union Richard Lee was born. Both preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage on May 9th, 1948 to Ernest Cameron Gehrung and to this union Danny Cameron Gehrung and David Ernest Gehrung were born. All preceded her in death.
In 1962 her family moved to Cupertino, California after Ernest's job offer with Lockheed. She began attending DeAnza College in 1967 and was proud to be one of the first to make the Dean's list at the new community college.
She retired from Lockheed in Sunnyvale, California where she worked at the "Blue Cube" as a Senior Administrator. After retirement, Jeanne continued to work part time in a medical office, and was also a member of the El Camino Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary & Altos View Alphas Club.
Jeanne accepted her Lord at First Christian Church in Beatrice, Nebraska with her cousin, Harry Elwood and was welcomed into her Lord's arms on June 22, 2014. She was survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her aunt and cousins.
Her final wishes were only to have a small graveside memorial, and to be buried next to her husband in a simple coffin.
