Gladys Vivian Ailshire, 80,
formerly of 13818 Village Mill Drive, Maugansville, died Sunday October 26, 2003, at the Coffman Nursing Home in Hagerstown.

Born March 22,1923, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Virginia (Harter) Ruck.

Her husband, William Franklin Ailshire, died in 1991.

She retired from Fairchild Aircraft after 40 years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She also was a member of Ladies of the Elks No. 378 and Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one sister,Betty West of Hagerstown; one brother, Vincent Ruck of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel H. Ruck Jr.; two half sisters, Hazel Bricker and Leafa MaClay; and three half brothers, John Sigler,Chester Sigler and George Sigler.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home,East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis I. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive freinds at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
