Mrs. King, widow of the late Marion King, died Sunday, August 13, 2000. Born in Darlington Co., she was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Loudonnie Coward Harper.
Formerly of Charlotte, she had been a resident here since 1969 and was a member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church. She was retired from J. B. Ivey's Department Store in Charlotte in 1969.
Surviving are her daughter, Louise C. Rushing of West Columbia; son, Evans B. Cox, Jr. of Mt. Holly, N.C.; sister, Ola Brigman of Laurinburg, N.C.; half sister, Betty Talbert Denham of Florence; half brother, William Harper of Cheraw; ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
