Life brings many changes but nothing will ever undo the wonderful legacy of a lifetime of love our Mother and Grandmother leaves us to remember and cherish all our lives through.
Mildred Allamon, 92, went to her Heavenly home to reunite with many loved ones who have gone on before. She died June 14, 2014 at her daughter's home in Temple, Texas.

She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and wonderful homemaker. Her family was her life. Mildred was born December 8, 1921 in Salado, Texas to Jefferson James Elkins and Ocie (Reed) Elkins. She married Delma Morris "Big Boy" Allamon September 17, 1939 in Salado, Texas. She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1972; a daughter, Patricia Ann Allamon in 1944; a son, Delma Wayne Allamon in 2013; a sister, Pearl Bowser in 1994; and four brothers, Leonard Elkins in 1926, Jack Elkins in 1974, G.W. Elkins in 2013 and Billy Elkins in 1993.
Survivors include: a daughter, Linda (Allamon) Sula and husband James of Temple; daughter-in-law Cathy Allamon of Academy; three grandsons, Robert Sula and wife Audra of Salado, Jeffery Allamon and wife Angie of Troy, Jeremy Allamon and wife Susan of Academy; three great-grandsons, Billy Yoder of Bryan-College Station, Jacob and Evan Allamon of Troy; three great-granddaughters, Olivia, Lauren and Lindsay Sula of Salado.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton Rev. Justin Childers will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
A meal for family and friends will be held at Oxbow Steak House in Belton immediately after interment at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Fred Grimm, Larry Elkins, Dale Mebane, Paul Grimm, Justin Grimm and Robert Strzelczyk.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Elkins, Donnie Elkins and David Elkins.
Memorials may be made to Miller Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 1400 S. Wall St., Belton, Texas 76513.
