Hazel Aloydis Mary Ann Johnson, 84, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on December 10, 1929, to Anton and Hilda (Gunderson) Leque in Whitehall, WI. Aloydis graduated from Blair High School and then moved to Eau Claire and got a job at the Telephone Company where she later retired from. She met and later married Milton R. Johnson on March 22, 1952, in Blair, WI.

Aloydis loved to play games and cards with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends. She enjoyed going to the casino whether by bus, plane, or car. Aloydis loved to bake cookies, and always had them on hand to offer to family, friends, and visitors. No one ever left her house hungry.
She enjoyed the monthly lunches with her school friends, the Blairettes. Aloydis was a social Butterfly and always on the go.

Aloydis was a long time dedicated member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard where she was the funeral lunch coordinator for over a decade. She was a proud member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and made tray favors for nursing homes and helped with any event they sponsored. She also enjoyed volunteering at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center where she helped to make dolls for children in hospitals. Aloydis enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors and was always willing to take them to appointments and social outings.

She is survived by her three children, Susanne (Marty) Blomberg of Wisconsin Rapids, Michael (Bobbie) Johnson of Rock Falls, and Mary Mayer of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren, Toby (Casey) Blomberg, Andy (Nikki) Bush, Brian Johnson, Laurie (Jeremy) Beaulieu, Erin Johnson (fiance Matthew Heidt), Amanda (Matthew) Hall, Zachary Mayer, and Jeremiah Mayer; four great-grandchildren, Danika and Daelynn Blomberg, & Parker and Nolan Bush; her sisters-in-law, Geneva Klemmer and Ellien Johnson; and by many nieces, nephews, and her many wonderful friends.

Aloydis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton; and two brothers, Gerald and Lavern Leque.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St., Eau Claire, with Pastor Michael Wollman officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and also one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services is serving the family.
