Yonkers Herald Statesman, July 14, 1980:
"Joseph A. Williams, 75, a lifetime Yonkers resident, died Saturday at his home. Mr. Williams, who was born May 6, 1905 and attended Yonkers schools, was married to the former Hazel Brubacher, who survives him, on Aug. 3, 1949 in New York City. Mr. Williams was a route salesman for Silver Lining Laundry of Yonkers for 25 years before retiring 12 years ago. He was active in the Yonkers Corinthian Yacht Club, serving as a former commodore and member of the board of trustees, and was a staff sergeant in the National Guard. In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by two sons. Richard of Phoenix, Md. and Raymond of West Stockbridge, Mass.; three sisters, Sister Mary Sheila, O.P. of Newburgh. N.Y., Mrs. William (Marie) Albert of Larchmont, N.Y. and Mrs. Joseph (Cecelia) Carmody of Mount Vernon; three brothers, Edwin of Pelham, Michael of New York City and Howard J. of Thornwood, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
