The Oil Shares were sold and William and Annie bought the first moving picture show in Cardston. Annie was the ticket taker and William was the " Pied Piper" with his fiddle as he walked up main street playing this fiddle. Several children that could not afford the tickets were allowed to see the movie with no cost to them.
William died in 1916 leaving Annie , whom he had been married to for 35 Years. Annie was survived by 11 of her 15 children, ranging in age from 54 to 74 years of Age.
