David retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service completed; while in the Navy he toured Europe and the South Pacific serving on ships too numerous to mention. David was one of the original hurricane hunters that flew through the eye of the hurricane to report the category. He served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam he was also a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner and Post Commander of the American Legion Post 137, serving two terms. He was a 50 year honoree at the Masonic Lodge in London, KY for being the oldest and longest member of the lodge. David was the recipient of the WWII Victory Metal, National Defense Metal, Navy Occupation Service Metal, and Good Conduct Metal among many others. He Retired from St. Vincent's Medical Center where he was the past President of the Retiree Association. David was predeceased by his parents, Oscar Ray Gadd and first wife Susie Alice Belden and former wife Evelyn Marie (Pasko) Bowman. He is survived by his brother, Raymond Gadd (Helen) of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Penny Pennington (Jay) and Phyllis Davis (Wes) of Las Vegas, Nevada.
