Mrs. A.O. Gregory, 91, a resident of Dimmitt for more than half a century, died Friday in a nursing home at Lamesa, where she had lived since January.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Bedford Street Church of Christ by Larry Marshall of the Wilbarger Church of Christ at Vernon, assisted by Ronnie Parker.
Burial was in Castro Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Dennis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gregory was born in Meridian, the former Anna H. Darby. She married A.O. Gregory in Anson in 1906 and came to Dimmitt in 1925. She was a member of the Church of Christ for 59 years and attended church regularly while she lived here.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1958, and a son, Jack, in 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Amy Wright of Lamesa; five grandchildren, including Bill and Don Gregory of Dimmitt; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers at the funeral rites were Jack Miller, Carlos Calvert, Lonnie Bell, Elbert Summers, Trellis Summers, and George Howell.
