Son of William R. and Florence Irene O'Neil Reed.
Married Velma A. Ringle August 16, 1948 in Sacred Heart Church at Fowler. She survives.
Other survivors include sons Kevin and Keith (Margaret "Penny"); 2 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandsons; sisters Rosemond Pietron and Mary Lou (Thomas) Potts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bernard "Bud", Kenneth "Pete", Donald "Bumbo", William Jr. "Bill", and Robert "Bob"; sisters-in-law Catherine and Lois Reed; brother in law Arnold Pietron and nephew David Peitron.

Mass of Christian Burial at 3pm Monday, June 9 in St. Mary Cathedral with concelebrants Bishop Emeritus William L. Higi and Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. Visitation from 2pm until time of service. Graveside military rites by American Legion Post 11.

Memorial donations to St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Louis, MO.
