GILMER - Services for Mr. Bill A. Gray Sr. 79, of Gilmer will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer under the direction of Croley Funeral Home with Reverend Todd Kaunitz officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Gray passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 in Gilmer.
He was born Feb., 14, 1931 in Childress to William and Pearl Overstreet Gray. Mr. Gray was a banker for City National Bank in Wichita Falls,and M & P Bank in Sherman before his retirement. He was member of the East Texas Area Chamber of Commerce, the Buckeye Booster Club and also a member of First Baptist Church, Gilmer.
Mr. Gray is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Ed Holmes of Gilmer; sons, Bill Gray Jr. and wife Karen of Sherman and Scott Gray and wife Elizabeth of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Dustin Benton, Lyndy Benton, Hayden Holmes, Meredith Walter and husband Jonathan, Haley Newton and husband Brandon, Will Gray and Jill Gray; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larkin Clemons, Jimmy McClelland, Pat Camp, Willie Williams, Larry Cowan and Earl Fielden. The Workers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
