JOEL H. SCOTT JR., 78, of Memphis, retired service tech for Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital after a stroke.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Northridge/Woodhaven Chapel with burial in Northridge/Woodhaven Cemetery.
Mr. Scott, the husband of Thelma Lloyd Scott for 55 years, also leaves two daughters, Donna L. Jones of Weatherford, Texas, and Joellen Hillman of Sherard, Miss.; three sons, Joel W. Scott of Carrollton, Texas, John D. Scott of Sherman, Texas, and Richard A. Scott of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Mary Fuller of Texas and Jane Holloway of Balch Springs, Texas; three brothers, Charles Scott of Paris, Texas, Jim Scott of Burleson, Texas, and Harmon Scott of Texas, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to Woodstock Baptist Church.
