life in the s e n ice of his country over
France on Aug 194-4. Sgt. Stoll

his last vipit with his parents, Rev.
and Mrs. W. C. Stoll of Blairstown,
was on "D" Day. He went overseas
in June and was reported missing
when his plane was shot down north
of. Paris by anti-aircraft fire. ..Notification
of his death was made by
the War department in April of this
year.
Born In Canada
Milton Paul Stoll, son of Rev. and
Mrs. W. C. Stoll, was born Nov. 1,
1923. at Wcyburn, Sask., Canada,
and came to Blairstown with his
parents Feb. 29, 1928 He was baptized
in the Lutheran church at Weyburn
and was confirmed in Grace
Lutheran church in Blairstown in
1937. He was graduated from the
Blairstown high school with the class
of 1940 and was later employed at
Drake's and in California prior to
his induction He received his training
at Scott Field, 111 , and at Kimball
Field. Fla.
Left to mourn his loss are his parents,
Rev. and Mrs Stoll. his grandfather
and two grandmothers, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Firnhaber of Beccher,
111., and Mrs Sophie Stoll of
Blairstown. three brothers, Richard
of San Diego, Calif , Lt. Martin Stoll,
in the air corps at Florence, S. C,
and Roger at home; also his fiancee,
Miss Betty Rohrkaste of Edwardsville.
111. Sgt. Stoll was a young man
of sterling qualities and of an unusually
likable and sunny disposition and
is greatly missed by a host of
friends, both young and old.

All Auxiliary and Legion members
will please meet in the Legion hall
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock to attend
the Memorial services for Sgt.
Milton Stoll.
