The register for Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church contains an entry for the death and burial of John Peter Bender. It says that the burial occurred on 17 April 1753 "in the city" which is interpreted to mean in the churchyard at the Lutheran church. The church register also says that his birth date is 25 February 1700 which may not be precisely the date in the German church register.

The birth of Peter Bender was in the village of Dühren which is now a suburb in the town of Sinsheim in the indicated Landkreis. The current state did not exist and the village was in the Kingdom of Baden in 1700.

Peter Bender married Anna Barbara UNK in Baden. She and Peter are identified as sponsors of a baptism in 1751 in the York, PA church register so she was in the immigration to America.
