David Ryder Kenerson, 92, of St. Petersburg, passed away on March 31, 2009. He was born in Winchester, Massachusetts in 1916.

David moved to St. Petersburg in 1956, as Hospital Administrator for both Mound Park and Mercy Hospitals. He oversaw their integration in the late '50s. Subsequently he was a long time professor in the College of Business for the University of South Florida - St. Petersburg campus. Also, in 1976 David was appointed the USF-SP acting dean. He returned to his professorial duties in 1979 and continued to teach at USF-SP until 1993.

His wife Anita, predeceased him in 2003. He is survived by his son, David Jr. and daughter Martha Lynne and three grand-children. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the SPCA of Pinellas County of which he was a long time supporter.
