INDIAN TRAIL, NC - Mr. Kenneth Eason, 73, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at Hospice of Union County.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church Indian Trail, where he was a long time member. Rev. Danny Myers will officiate. Internment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Eason was born December 7, 1940 in Rock Hill, SC and was the son of the late Clyde and Beulah Cook Eason. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, Ted. He was a God gifted man and self taught in many areas of his life. A talented jeweler, he owned and operated Ken's Gems in Indian Trail. Ken loved the Lord and his church family.

Ken is survived by wife of 50 years, Anne; children, Julie Jenkins and husband, Michael of Taylorsville, NC; son, David and wife, Shireen of Huntersville, NC; sister, Marlene Matheson of Indian Trail; and 4 grandchildren, Lauren Young, Sonya Eason, Sophia Eason and Jennifer Waller.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church Indian Trail, P. O. Box 2550, Indian Trail, NC 28079 or to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
