Victor Hammitt, 73, of Blachly, died March 8. He was born September 10, 1876, on
the old Hammitt farm at Mohawk, and lived in that area all his life until moving to
Blachly three years ago. He was a member of Marcola IOOF Lodge.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Maude Presnall, Salem, and Mrs. Grace Dillard,
Eugene; four brothers, Marvin L. of Forest Grove, John H. of Blachly, Ralph G.,
Forest Grove, and Claude C., San Jose, California; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Veatch Hollingsworth England Mortuary with
interment at Stafford Cemetery.
