Mrs. Icie "Margie" Daniels Sykes, age 88, a resident of Beaufort County, NC, formerly of Bayview, Texas died Sunday, May 25, 2014.
Mrs. Sykes was born in Beaufort County on June 20, 1925 to the late James Marion Daniels and Georgia Melissa O'Neal Daniels. On August 25, 1955, she married Leon Sykes, who preceded her in death on December 22, 2008.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Sykes is preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Sykes; three brothers, Jack Daniels, Allie Daniels and George Murphy Hopkins; and two sisters, Hazel Daniels and Ruby Pippin.
Graveside services will be held at Forest East Cemetery in Webster, Texas. Published by James Crowder Funeral Home.
