An army veteran of ten years, served as a military policeman and intelligence officer. He earned his jump medal at Paratrooper School, attended French Commando School and earned the Army Commendation Medal, among other awards.
An avid skier, fisherman and outdoorsman; was also a member of the Schenectady Pipe Band.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Tuohey, brothers Daniel and Dennis, and sister Mary Roepell.
