Sidney Michael Barjenbruch age 62, of Kingwood, formerly of Wellington passed away suddenly Saturday, May 17, 2014.

A time of casual gathering of friends, family, co-workers and fishermen will be held Tuesday May 20, 2014 from 5pm to 9pm at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood , TX. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington with Rev. Gene Weinette, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home.

Mike was born to Robert and Anna Beth Dodson Barjenbruch in Wellington Texas, where he was raised and began his farming career with family. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1970. He married Julie Ann Allman August 16, 1975 while they were in college.

He then entered the petroleum industry where Mike worked for various companies in all aspects of the petroleum and manufacturing industry all over the US and offshore. He returned to college and graduated with an additional degree in Industrial Technology and Engineering, from the University of Houston in 1996. He worked in the Houston area the last 23 years as a senior buyer and procurement specialist in the Petroleum industry.

Mike had many loves in his life, his family, faith, spending time in the outdoors and most especially fishing. He was a self taught man who was able to try and do anything and fix and repair just about everything, and never quit till the job was done. He was a member of the Houston Texas Oilman's Bass Club, Strawbridge United Methodist Church.

Mike was preceded in death by his father Robert Quincy Barjenbruch, and his daughter Carrie Barjenbruch.

He is survived by his wife Julie Barjenbruch of 39 years ; son Rob Barjenbruch and wife Lorena of Port Lavaca; daughter Erica Mitchell of San Antonio; mother Beth Sherrod of Wellington; brother Larry Adams of Wellington; step father Sam Adams of Wellington,; and 4 grandchildren Michael and John Barjenbruch , Sunny and Penelope Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
