He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Shows Council of Arcadia, LA, son Terry Council and wife Sharon of Arcadia, LA, daughter Sue Price and husband Johnny of Ruston, LA, son Michael Council of Arcadia, LA, daughter Debbie Green and husband David of Arcadia, LA, brothers buddy Council, Oscar Ray Council and Glenn Council, sisters Dorothy Davis and Norma Waldrop, 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 step great-grandchildren, and 5 step great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a life-long friend, Charles Dooley of Lavaca, AR.
Pallbearers will be John Price, Jr, Bruce Price, Wesley Council, Jimmy Hyatt, Rodger Council, and Charles L. Shows. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Council and Christopher Council.
