Michael L. Abell, 79, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away April 23, 2014. Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After over 20 years serving as a Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department officer, he retired to Henderson. He then worked at the Las Vegas Convention Center for 20 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 57 years Betty; three sons, Michael, and his wife Selina, Robert and his wife, Paulina, and William; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the Green Valley Christian Center, 711 Valle Verde Court, Henderson. In lieu of flowers please donate to your charity of choice .
