Ivorine was born in Milan, Missouri, on December 4, 1911, to Oscar and Ethel Leach Hunsaker.
She lived in Las Animas and was employed at the Fort Lyon VA Medical Center for many years before moving to Pueblo in 1960. Mrs. Collins was a very active resident of the Belmont Lodge Nursing Home and served as the Silver Queen in 1990.
Ivorine was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Guy Collins, in 1989.
She is survived by her children, Jalia (Bill) Brown of Pueblo, Edward Collins of Missouri; grandchildren, Laurel (Richard) Landreth, Guila (Frank) Scott, Raymond Brown, Tom (Becky) Collins; great-grandchildren, Casey Lewis, Erinn Scott, Chris Scott, Tara and Brent Collins; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Collins will lie in state at the mortuary from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. today.
Graveside services will be held in the Roselawn Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2001.
