Mrs. Gladys Finnefrock McElwain, 47, of 9 Central avenue, Warren, daughter of E. J. Finnefrock of Maple Street and well-known former Kane woman, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at her residence following a long illness. She was born at Kane, January 21, 1908, the daughter of Edward J. and the late Harriet Cook Finnefrock. She was educated in the local schools and resided here until she moved to Warren about 20 years ago. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Warren. She is survived by her husband, W. D. McElwain; one son, Edward McElwain at home; one sister, Mrs. Charles Struble of Olean, N. Y.; and two brothers, LaRue Finnefrock of Kane and the Rev. Gale Cook of Falconer, N. Y. Friends may call at the Peterson funeral home Warren, at the usual visiting hours, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock, beginning tomorrow afternoon. Funeral services will be held there Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. C. W. Baldwin of Grace Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in McKean Memorial Park.

NOTE: According to her mother's obituary the Rev. Gale Cook was not a brother but a nephew of her mother's.
