Mrs. Wanda Miller
July 30, 1940 - February 1, 2012
Obituary
Wanda Jean Miller was born on July 30, 1940, and went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at age 71.
She had many diverse interests, she was an avid baseball fan and if you happened to drop by between April and October the entertainment in the house was a baseball game. She 'loved' her Atlanta Braves. Gardening, remodeling and decorating her home was another past time that she greatly enjoyed. Saturdays were taken up by going to garage sales; she couldn't pass one without stopping! Christmas, her favorite holiday, at her home was a joyful occasion... her main breaker panel had to be over-sized to energize all of the lights and decorations in her front yard. Someone was guaranteed to receive an afghan, as a gift, that she crocheted with love. On sunny days she loved driving her red T-top Corvette, which made her feel young and carefree.
Her family would like to give thanks to Nancy Hinds Hospice, they provided great comfort during the last days of Wanda's life.
She leaves behind David, her loving and devoted husband of 43 years. The pride and joys of her life were daughter, Teri Hunter; daughter and son-in-law, Tonia and Jeff Norton; son and daughter-in-law, David and Eileen Miller; grandchildren Brandon and Jerrod Bottoms, Jeffery, Andrew and Lindsay Norton; Alyssa, Carissa, Jacob and Reese Miller.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, February 6, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
