Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Pauline Buttrey, age 90, of Manchester, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Buttrey passed away Monday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Buttrey was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late John Daniel and Mattie Irene Cates McCullough. She was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ. Through the years, she had been employed at Camp Forest, Tutts Cleaners, and Tennessee Overall.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Buttrey; two sisters, Betty M. Simmons and Pearl Adcock; and seven brothers, Aubrey, Buford, Oscar, Bobby, Jack, James, and L.D. McCullough. Mrs. Buttrey is survived by three sisters, Jean (Morris) Floyd of Manchester, Hazel Duke of Beechgrove, and Ann (Kenneth) Haynes of Tracy City; four brothers, Joe (Edith) McCullough, J.D. McCullough, W.J. (June) McCullough, all of Manchester, and Granville McCullough of Georgia; three step-children, Billy (Jean) Buttrey, Ricky (Tammy) Buttrey, and Harlan Buttrey; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver, Pam Jones.
